Lunch at Deer Park Institute in Bir: Typically, excellent yellow dal with some black dal added, basmati rice, soft stew like squash with onions, fresh salad!, okra in tomato sauce, and fresh cabbage. Pickled items and capati too. We miss it!
Hello to the Queen at Carpe Diem in Dharamsala- This dessert is pretty amazing... Put bread crumbs, ice cream, chocolate, coconut, and banana in a bowl, mix and eat!
Fresh Vegetable Momo soup in Dharamsala at the Gayki restaurant
Fresh Roti, at a bus stop, late at night, somewhere in between Dehra Dun and Rishikesh, we watched this roti being slapped and then put into a deep pit tandori style brick of oven and came out like a crispy pancake on the bottom and bubbling brownspots on the top, which we had with a delicious palik paneer
Masala Chai in the foothills of the Himalayas in Rishikesh- So far the best masala chai that we have had in India. On a good day it had the perfect balance of spices
